Bitterroot
The bitterroot is one of Montanas best rivers and an ideal place to begin and end the summer season. We offer both Wade and float fishing in March, April, and October.

Missouri
The Missouri is one of the best places to experience Montana Fly fishing and it boasts the second highest Trout per mile of any river in the state. We offer both Float and Wade trips during the prime times of spring, early summer, and Fall.

Madison
The Madison is world renowned and possibly Montana's most popular and well-known Fly-fishing destination for good reason. Located near Yellowstone National Park and the town of West Yellowstone, the Madison always offers some of the best Fly Fishing in the State, especially through the Summer months. We offer both Wade and Float trips from April thru October.

Hebgen lake
Hebgen Lake is one of the most unique Stillwater fisheries in the country. If you dream of catching a big Montana Trout in a Post card picture setting, look no further. We offer trips from a lake boat perfectly designed for stillwater fly fishing.

Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone is one of the most unique places to fly fish on planet earth. It has an incredible diversity of water, and the scenery is unparalleled. We offer Wade trips from Saturday of Memorial day weekend thru October 31st.

What To Bring

Packing List
These are just a few suggestions, and I hope it helps you with planning your trip.
Medications
Don't forget to fill those prescriptions before you leave.
Fishing License
Online is easiest. Just click Montana Fishing License or Yellowstone Fishing License. They can also be purchased at any local Fly Shop upon arrival.
Camera
Preferably waterproof. A few Cell Phones have been drowned over the years, but thats what most people use. I like my waterproof pocket camera. I use the tether strap and it takes great underwater pictures.
Sunglasses
Safety Glasses are a must have because fishing isn't worth an eyeball. Polarized are best if you actually want to see the strike. Amber shade is the best all around choice, but I like having multiple pairs for a range of light conditions.
Hat
Hats not only help sheild us from the suns rays, but from incoming Flies. They also help us see our flies easier by reducing glare. Full brimmed hats are even better most days.
Sunscreen
A must have for long days out in the sun. Its not just the suns rays as they come down, but as they reflect off the water like a mirror sunning our faces.
Layers
Its Montana at 6700 feet so be prepared for snow in August. Seriously. Most summer days are very pleasant, but we'll see a mix of weather conditions. Multiple light layers are recommended including a fleece layer and Rain Jacket. Staying dry is most important, and its easy to shed light layers as the morning warms up.
Rain jacket
I know I mentioned it already, but you just can't say it too many times. Rain Jacket.
The following equipment is optional. We can provide you with all the neccesary equipment needed to catch fish. But if you have the gear, we reccomend putting it to good use.
Waders/Boots
Breathable Waders are best and double as rain gear in the boat on a rainy afternoon.
Rods/Reels
Most of our fishing is with 4 to 6 wt Rods. A med fast or fast action 5 wt is the best all around.
Tackle/Flies
Check out the Hatches page to learn more. Or just leave it to us. We'll always have everything you need on the day of your trip.
We also reccommend Bear Spray for certain trips
